Art Survey Exam

Your exam on Ch 9 - The Italian Renaissance - is Wednesday. It will be based on the reading and the notes for this chapter . Your homework is due with the exam.

Arthur Exam

Your exam on Arthurian Literature is Tuesday, 10/24 . The exam will cover all of the notes , "Sir Gawain and The Green Knight," and Death of Arthur . Note that the exam will also include the vocabulary from both stories, as well as a short essay.

Profile Essay

English IV Along with discussing your plans for how to improve American high schools, we will be working on the Profile Essays next week. Education

Seniors This week we are talking about the U.S. education system. We will examine several selections in the book and online and write an in-class essay when we're ready. To begin, please read the selection from Horace Mann and answer the questions following the essay. Use complete sentences and refer to the text. Be specific and thoughtful. The basic question is this: How can we improve high schools to better prepare students for the future? We will return to it again. For now, concentrate on the question and your authority as a person who has been through the K-12 system. You are about to head to college and beyond.
