The FINAL DRAFT of your research paper is due tomorrow! Present your final draft, workshop draft, and sources in a folder with your name on it. The final draft should be in a report cover, with the rubric placed inside. Finally, submit a copy of your draft -- intro to conclusion -- via email. Your file name should be lastname-final.

Sophomores

You have a QUIZ tomorrow on the introduction to the Middle Ages. That is all.

Sir Gawain and the Green Knight

What better way to spend Halloween than reading a story that begins with a beheading? For the next week or so, we'll be discussing Arthurian Literature, beginning with a look at " Sir Gawain and the Green Knight ," the anonymous tale of a test of courtly love, involving a supernatural green knight and a bet. For more information on the poem, read this introduction . I've also included a prose translation that you can compare with the verse translation we have in our book.

Homework

Seniors Your exam is on Thursday, and your final essay is on Friday. I'll talk more about the essay in class tomorrow. Also, the senior auction project lacks one more important detail - your memories! We will spend a bit of time tomorrow in class writing down some of your fondest memories of your senior year, and the rest of your time at RO. Sophomores Read "Lines Composed a few miles above Tintern Abbey," and complete the questions at the end of the selection in your book. As always, please use complete sentences and cite frequently from the text.
