Little Brother Presentations

Seniors
Your next 100-point assignment is to produce a slide presentation using Google Slides. Your topics should be related to the book Little Brother, whether generated in class discussion or mentioned in the book's bibliography. Your presentations will be made public to your class on Friday.

You must include a title page, at least six content pages (with both images and text), and a citation page. Specifically, you must follow the formatting and content guidelines outlined in the assignment: Tech Presentation. Each student will be investigating a different topic, so that we can all learn more about some of the people/technology/ideas presented by Doctorow.

Sir Gawain and the Green Knight

What better way to spend Halloween than reading a story that begins with a beheading? For the next week or so, we'll be discussing Arthurian Literature, beginning with a look at " Sir Gawain and the Green Knight ," the anonymous tale of a test of courtly love, involving a supernatural green knight and a bet. For more information on the poem, read this introduction . I've also included a prose translation that you can compare with the verse translation we have in our book.

Homework

Seniors Your exam is on Thursday, and your final essay is on Friday. I'll talk more about the essay in class tomorrow. Also, the senior auction project lacks one more important detail - your memories! We will spend a bit of time tomorrow in class writing down some of your fondest memories of your senior year, and the rest of your time at RO. Sophomores Read "Lines Composed a few miles above Tintern Abbey," and complete the questions at the end of the selection in your book. As always, please use complete sentences and cite frequently from the text.
