Here's a more recent article on the football team I mentioned in class - from a mostly Muslim high school in Dearborn, Michigan. Think about the difference between objective reporting like this and the more personal and purposeful essay in your book.

Please select a movie you'd like to review and be ready to take some notes about it tomorrow. The site I mentioned in class for movie reviews is MetaCritic. Your goal is to model these authors, not copy them. Plagiarized papers will receive a zero.

Sir Gawain and the Green Knight

What better way to spend Halloween than reading a story that begins with a beheading? For the next week or so, we'll be discussing Arthurian Literature, beginning with a look at " Sir Gawain and the Green Knight ," the anonymous tale of a test of courtly love, involving a supernatural green knight and a bet. Homework

Seniors Your exam is on Thursday, and your final essay is on Friday. I'll talk more about the essay in class tomorrow. Also, the senior auction project lacks one more important detail - your memories! We will spend a bit of time tomorrow in class writing down some of your fondest memories of your senior year, and the rest of your time at RO.  Sophomores Read "Lines Composed a few miles above Tintern Abbey," and complete the questions at the end of the selection in your book. As always, please use complete sentences and cite frequently from the text.
