Seniors ~ Career Paper

Now that you have decided where you'd like to be in ten years, it's time to start planning. That starts with your selection of a university or academy that will give you the education/training required for your profession.

Your assignment is to find at least two sources related to your career/major and to bring printouts to class. You should revisit the sites above, and those listed below, as well:
Your research will continue over the next few days, as you will need information on admission/degree requirements, tuition costs, and also job locations and salaries.

Sir Gawain and the Green Knight

What better way to spend Halloween than reading a story that begins with a beheading? For the next week or so, we'll be discussing Arthurian Literature, beginning with a look at " Sir Gawain and the Green Knight ," the anonymous tale of a test of courtly love, involving a supernatural green knight and a bet. For more information on the poem, read this introduction . I've also included a prose translation that you can compare with the verse translation we have in our book.

Homework

Seniors Your exam is on Thursday, and your final essay is on Friday. I'll talk more about the essay in class tomorrow. Also, the senior auction project lacks one more important detail - your memories! We will spend a bit of time tomorrow in class writing down some of your fondest memories of your senior year, and the rest of your time at RO.  Sophomores Read "Lines Composed a few miles above Tintern Abbey," and complete the questions at the end of the selection in your book. As always, please use complete sentences and cite frequently from the text.
